Price per session: £100 remote, £110 face to face
Hello I’m Bimla. I have had the privilege of working with children adolescents and their parents and carers for the last 24 years. I have worked within the CAMHS service and have extensive experience in treating a range of psychological problems.
My background is that I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse, and I am also a Registered General Nurse. I am also a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nurse.
I have experience in working with children and adolescents who have complex mental health needs and interested in treating complex trauma and have had a lot of experience of this, using therapies of CBT and EMDR.
I have an interest in multi-cultural trans-generational trauma and issues which can affect family functioning and the relationships within families.
I am also interested in the women’s health, having worked in obstetrics and gynaecology where sadly loss is seen in either miscarriage or through the trauma of birth. I can draw upon a range of therapies to support and improve psychological wellbeing.
I currently work part time for the NHS in a specialist Looked after children’s team and as such I can treat developmental trauma and help carers co-regulate the dysregulation behaviours seen in their children.
I am currently in the process of becoming certified in Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP) A relational attachment treatment model for children who are in foster care and who have been adopted.
