About Rachael:

As a BABCP-accredited Psychotherapist with over 14 years of experience across the NHS and private sector, I offer Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR).

How I Work

Life can feel complicated and heavy when anxiety, perfectionism, or trauma make daily challenges harder to navigate. My approach is compassionate but direct, helping you to make real, lasting and meaningful change, in a way that feels safe and manageable.

Therapy looks different for everyone. Whether we are developing practical tools to cope with day-to-day challenges, processing traumatic experiences, or uncovering the deeper patterns that shape how you see yourself, we can tailor therapy to your specific needs.

Alongside CBT and EMDR, I integrate skills from:

  • ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
  • DBT (Dialectical Behavioural Therapy)
  • CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy)

Specialist Expertise

I have a particular interest in trauma, PTSD/Complex PTSD and neurodivergence, and have significant experience supporting individuals who have navigated childhood or adult abuse, sexual assault, and occupational trauma. I also provide specialised support for individuals struggling with the emotional and practical impact of neurodiversity.

Beyond my clinical practice, I am a Senior University Lecturer in CBT, teaching and supervising trainee NHS CBT therapists. I also provide clinical supervision to qualified practitioners and deliver bespoke mental health training within workplaces.

Please get in touch if you would like to ask any questions or to book in for an initial appointment.
