Emma Davie is a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist accredited with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). Emma has over 10 years’ experience supporting people in making positive changes in their lives.

Emma describes herself to be a mother, dog owner and a Christian and finds working with people an honour to be able to support them to reach their full potential and goals.

Emma’s core clinical training is in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) however uses a holistic range of interventions that best suit the needs of children, young people and adults. From Emma’s words: “ I can’t offer a magic wand to the problems life throws at us but I can offer a safe space to begin to work through the challenges that may be impacting on a person’s emotional wellbeing and happiness”.

Emma has a wide range of experience in various clinical settings, these settings include:

  • Assistant service manager and clinical lead within Child andAdolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), working with children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties
  • Online CBT therapy with adults and young people
  • Therapeutic intervention for looked after children within the care system during years of working as a looked after children’s social worker

Emma believes in her quick ability to form a strong therapeutic alliance, she acknowledges the fears that can be involved in coming to therapy, with peoples additional concern of intervention being online. Emma is confident in being able to alleviate these fears quickly to ensure therapy becomes safe and positive place to promote change.
