Hi, my name is Heather, I am the Founder and Director of Yorkshire Psychotherapy Ltd. I am a BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist, with over 20 years experience in mental health.

I launched Yorkshire Psychotherapy in January 2015 and have since developed the practice to include Associate Therapists who offer a wide range of therapies to individuals and businesses. I work as a Clinical Supervisor and have many years experience of working with people who struggle with emotional problems, including trauma, depression and anxiety. I have a particular interest in working with trauma and emotional dysregulation.

I use a range of therapeutic techniques in my clinical practice including Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), mindfulness and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I am very passionate about helping others to understand, recognise and tolerate their emotions, which is the first step in helping to overcome a range of mental health problems. I offer online sessions via Skype/Zoom/Facetime/Whatsapp or phone.

I provide Consultancy, Groups and Workshops to a range of businesses and also provide Coaching and Mentoring for Therapists starting out in private practice.

I undertake regular clinical supervision with an accredited supervisor, am DBS checked and have Public Liability Insurance.
